Guild Hall school

Performance module with Guildhall School MA in Collaborative Performance Making

A specialist module as part of an MA developed by Paul Cockle and Ben Sumner for the Guildhall school of Music and Drama.

10 students work with 4 physical artists for the first time. In a month long module they conceive design produce and technically install and interpretative piece of physical theatre.

Introducing students to the skill set that turns abstract ideas into a show through applying the production process. The course has been running 9 years and is a great example of the interface between repurposed ancient buildings and the route of discovery a young theatre makers follows as they acquire interpretative or technical skills . We help them find their voice.

Several students have gone on to work with the company.
