Purpose

To become part of a multi-tasking multi-skilled technical and production crew.

With specific responsibility to lead the technical team in the assigned venue ensuring the highest standard of technical show delivery at all times.

Entertainment content

Two 40min shows in the Carousel Lounge. The shows contain a mix of singers, dancers, aerial, and ground-based circus performances.

Shows are performed twice nightly 6 days a week.

Provide technical support for all additional events in the venue.

Additional POP-UP entertainment, street theatre and a choreographed parade.

Responsibilities

To ensure that the theatre specialist equipment is working efficiently and delivering technical design intention of the shows.

Responsible for the technical success of theatre shows and other event including but not limited to talks, video presentations, speeches, and others events within the venue, plus additional Parades, pop-up performances and Street Theatre

To manage theatre specialist equipment ensuring it is all in the correct working order through instigating and managing systems of Checking Inspection and Maintenance (C.I.M.)

Report all issues, malfunctions, loss of equipment following-up till issues are solved. To coordinate and attend stage mechanics daily checks Ensuring C.I.M is followed.

To execute ‘1st level issues’ troubleshooting and equipment regular and preventive maintenance, including scheduled cleaning.

To ensure the safekeeping of all portable and removable equipment and material, including loose equipment for the assigned venue.

To coordinate assistance calls, inspections and survey visits from both external companies and on- board teams in the assigned venue.

To manage the technical team of Automation Operator, Lighting Technician, Sound Technician, Rigger to support the daily requirements and Schedule set out by the Company Stage Manager.

To train at least one other member of the technical team cover the Technical Manager position. To cover at least two technical operator roles; learning to run shows on lighting, sound or

Automation if required or if sickness and injury requires a change in operator arrangements.

Schedule the team to support all training, rehearsals and shows plus extra events in the venue or other pop up and street theatre events delivered by the cast.

Follow required onboard safety policy and procedures.

Requirements

Professional Compliance:

Advanced knowledge of management and maintenance requirements for: audio, video, lighting, architectural lighting, networking, stage machineries infrastructures.

Advanced knowledge of safety regulations for man riding and human flying. – Advanced knowledge of show management and production most popular platforms. – Basic knowledge of shipboard muting systems.

IT/Equipment expertise – User – MS Office Language Capability: English at C1 Level

This is a Seafarers Employment Agreement. Hour of work will be under the Maritime Labour Convention regulations.
